IGP VISIT GOVERNOR BALA AND ACCURED OF THE CREATION OF SPECIAL INTERVENTION UNIT

INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE VISIT GOVERNOR BALA AND ASSURED OF THE CREATION OF SPECIAL INTERVENTION UNIT.

The inspector general of police Egbetokon Kayode visit His Excellency the Executive Governor of Bauchi State Sen Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON Kauran Bauchi in his office today were he applauded Governor Bala of his numerous efforts towards combatting criminality activities across the state. 

The inspector general of police assured Governor Bala of onward support towards ensuring the peaceful coexistence of the state. Mr. Kayode affirm to the Governor of the establishment of special operational unit which will help in further combatting and reducing the criminal rate across the state considering the significance of peace as a tool for the societal growth and development. 

He also appealed to the people of Bauchi State to continue having confidence in the Nigeria Police by providing them with useful information on various happenings in their respective areas for continuous development.

Governor Bala Mohammed appreciates the inspector general for the timely visit considering the rates of crime across the region and nation at large. He urged the Nigeria Police Force to build on its successes in combating crime and insecurity in the state.

The governor informed the IG that areas mostly affected by the activities of suspected bandits and kidnappers are all the local government areas of neighbouring states from the Northwestern part of the country. He also emphasized the need for ongoing efforts to maintain the relative peace enjoyed in the state. He appealed with the IG to establish more police outposts in the state which will help a lot in combarting criminal activities.

He said to facilitate effective security operations across the state, a Ministry of Internal Security has been created to provide all the needed support in the area. He further highlighted that the state is enjoying relative peace due to the support of personnel from the Nigeria Police and other security agencies.

The Governor says, the establishment of the special intervention squad would serve as a significant tool towards combarting criminal activities in the state especially considering Bauchi shared boundaries with other neighboring states and has affirmer the IG that his administration will always support the security agencies towards the protection of lives and properties  He, therefore, urged the people of the state to continue supporting them with useful information on the activities of criminals. 

The IG was accompanied by his amiable wove Mrs. Elizabeth Kayode and other notable stakeholders from the security agencies across the state and other notable personalities.
