Bauchi State Government Holds Education Stakeholders Meeting
The Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has convened an education stakeholders meeting to deliberate on strategies aimed at improving the quality of education across the state.
The meeting brought together critical stakeholders, including the State Commissioner for Education, the SUBEB Chairman, the UBEC Zonal Secretary (Northeast), the Chairman of the Hausa Community on Education, Local Government Chairmen, Permanent Secretaries, UNICEF representatives, Directors, and Education Secretaries.
In his address, the Chairman of SUBEB, Alhaji Adamu Muhammad Duguri, urged Education Secretaries to work with renewed dedication, stressing the vital role of Local Government Chairmen in advancing education. He warned that any individual found compromising the integrity of the education system would face the full weight of the law, emphasizing the importance of accountability and transparency in the discharge of responsibilities.
The meeting focused on raising education standards, ensuring schools meet required benchmarks, and promoting collaboration among stakeholders. Participants highlighted the need for effective management of education resources to guarantee that every child has access to quality learning.
Stakeholders unanimously reaffirmed their commitment to accountability, transparency, and integrity in the education sector. The resolutions reached are expected to improve education outcomes and strengthen the culture of responsibility in Bauchi State’s education system.
