S. A TRANSFORMER BAUCHI STATE HON MUSA IBRAHIM ZANGO
KSMF-TV: Considering this is a new office in Bauchi State, how does the office come into existence?
MIZ: This office was paved by His Excellency the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, Sen Bala Abdulkarim Mohammed CON Kauran Bauchi, zeal and ambition towards adding value and worth to the lives of the masses in Bauchi State, especially the rural settlers, some of whom have been abandoned for quite some years.
During Governor Bala's visits across the rural dwellers and even within the Bauchi Metropolitan, a large number of people appealed to the Governor to assist them with transformers. From the creation of the office till date, the office, in collaboration with Jos Electric Distribution Company (JET), has played a lot of significant roles in providing our communities with transformers, and others that were damaged have been rehabilitated. The work is still ongoing.
According to Hon. Zango, access to electricity can improve socio-economic conditions in developing countries through its influence on key components of poverty, namely health, education, income, the environment, and other significant parasternals of the state.
KSMF-TV: I have been seeing you go all nooks and crannies ensuring the installation of transformers and rehabilitating many. Have you worked with an electric agency or company before?
MIZ: It was as a result of my engagements in matters that go with the growth and development of people across the state. I was opportune to serve as a leader of the councilors in Bauchi State, which paved the way for me through rendering effective services to humanity that gave me more wisdom for the services that I tend to render all the time. Humility is one of the basic tools that leads to rendering acceptable services in all directions. As such, people now have more faith in us towards ensuring the provisions of transformers than in the real electricity company itself because the electricity companies are far from the people. That's why they run to my office anytime there's any problem facing their communities.
KSMF-TV: Considering the office is new, how do you go about responding to the massive calls by members of the public? Is there any day that you've set aside for that?
MIZ: I have made my door open every time I respond to the calls of the masses because that is why the office was inaugurated. We must ensure that effective services are rendered in terms of meeting the needs of the masses, considering we have relationships with JED Company in terms of fixing transformers or any problems encountered by any given community.
KSMF-TV: What are the challenges that you've faced, and what call would you like to make to the general public?
MIZ: As a result of the breakage from the main transmission of electricity across the country, about sixty (60) transformers were vandalized, and if they are fixed, it will cost millions of naira. I will like to call on the general public to always endure the protection and safety of the transformers fixed across their communities because those properties belong to them.
Finally, I will like to thank our Governor, Send Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON Kauran Bauchi, for finding me worthy of this great task and responsibilities and also for his massive support whenever we refer to him for any challenge that tends to face any community. I will continue to render effective services in this office for the growth and development of our state, both for rural and urban settlers. I will like to call on the general public to continue to support Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed CON Kauran Bauchi lied administration for massive growth of our State.
