BAUCHI STATE GOVERNOR BALA MOHAMMED KAURA EDUCATION EXTENDED HIGHLIGHTS PROJECTS (KSMF-TV)

EDUCATION: EXTENDED HIGHLIGHTS OF GOVERNOR BALA'S PROJECTS 

Bauchi State Governor, His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed has recorded tremendous successes in the execution of projects aimed at upgrading the living standard of citizens of the state. 

His initiated #NewBauchiProject has uplifted the state's status in education, healthcare delivery, road network and power, in a addition to the construction of modern laboratories, thousands of affordable houses which  were not even part of his campaign promises in 2019.

History will forever appreciate Mohammed for being not only workaholic leader who breaks records of hard work and creativity of his predecessors in the state, but for his outstanding performance in infrastructure despite the hardships caused by the deadly Covid-19 and economic challenges the state, Nigeria and the entire globe had battled with. 

In education, Mohammed has successfully constructed, equipped and upgraded schools and functional classroom blocks in all wards. 

Below are a few :

-Renovation and construction of 400 classroom blocks Phase I.

- Supply of girls' uniform for out of school children in 5 LGAs namely Alkaleri, Gamawa, Ganjuwa, Itas and Katagum. 

- Supply of girls' uniform and learning materials under BESDA in Alkaleri, Gamawa, Itas Gadau, Bauchi, Misau, Gamawa, Zaki and Jamaare local government areas. 

- Renovation and construction of 2-block, 3-block classroom Batch IV which comprises 391 schools. 

- Redevelopment of Government Technical College Gamawa. 

-Supply of 6,615 Almajiri blankets and learning materials in 8 LGAs.

- Reconstruction of 2 portion collapsed wall fence at GSSS Tafawa Balewa. 

- Renovation /Upgrade of Women Education Center, Katagum. 

-Renovation and upgrading of BASAME Learning Centres in Jamaare, Ningi, Dass and Misau local government areas. 

-Construction of 10 block of 4-pit VIP toilets at some selected schools in 11 local government areas. 

- Construction of temporary shades for girls in each of the 8 schools of 11 selected LGA s.  

-Supply of learning materials and procurement of furniture and office equipment in over 250 Primary schools.

- Supply of 70,000 cartons of branded school white chalk to schools rural areas. 

-Additional renovation of classroom blocks, construction of toilets and procurement of generators in some selected secondary schools.

-Renovation of Senior Quarters of GSSS Katagum.

-Renovation of Principal's House, Junior Quarters, Administrative Block, Supply of Public Address System, Projector and customized school bags and construction of 2,000 metre fence in GSSS Katagum. 

-Supply of 1000 unit of 2-seater pupil furniture to Misau, Alkaleri, Bauchi, Ganjuwa, Katagum, Gamawa, Itas Gadau, Zaki and Jamaare LEAs.

-Supply of 2,481 customized rubber mats to schools under BESDA. 

-Supply of mats and backboards in schools in 14 LGAs.

- Construction and rehabilitation of road network, students' common room,  walkway and overhead tanks within Aliko Dangote College of Nursing and Midwifery Bauchi.

Bauchi State Government Holds Education Stakeholders Meeting The Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has convened an education stakeholders meeting to deliberate on strategies aimed at improving the quality of education across the state.
