Gov Otorm apologizes over a comment against Fulani as Wike, Aggrieved PDP Govs Visit Bala Mohammed

The Benue State Governor Samuel Otorm has apologized to those who felt offended over his earlier statement against the candidacy of PDP Presidential Candidate Alh. Atiku Abubakar.

Samuel Otorm was referring to his comment that generated mixed reactions from Nigerians which says he would not support a Fulani tribe to become the next president of Nigeria alleging that the fulanis are involved in most of the criminal activities across the country.

Addressing journalists after a close door meeting between five aggrieved PDP Governors and Governor Bala Mohammed in Government House Bauchi, Mr. Otorm explained that the statement was purely political and it has no ethic or tribal coloration.

On the lingering PDP crisis at the national level, a leader of the 5-G Governors and the Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike says there are still windows for reconciliation between them and National leadership of  the party.

Nyesom Wike who said their demands remains unattended to assured to shelve their sword if the party do the needful.

On his part, Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State who said the visit was in solidarity for his second term Gubernatorial candidacy appreciated the Governors for the support.

Radio Nigeria gathered that Governor Bala Mohammed has recently received the PDP National Chairman Senator Iyorchia Ayu, Director General of Atiku National Campaign Council Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of and later visited Atiku Abubakar in Abuja where they discussed issues related to the party.
