Governor Bala Mohammed inspects Renovation of Shira LG Secretariat ten Years after neglect

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has expressed satisfaction with level of progress made on the ongoing total renovation of Shira Local Government Secretariat at Yana, Head Quarters of the council.

The project  which reaches about ninety percent level of completion, is one of the similar contracts awarded by the State Government across the twenty local government secretariats in the state.

The Governor gave the indication when he paid an unscheduled visit to assess the level of progress made.

Commenting after the inspection, Governor Bala Mohammed said the secretariat deserve the total overhaul considering its high level of dilapidation noting that it is  the worst among it's counterparts across the state.

While commending the performance of the contractor handling the project, the Governor also   made some observations  on how to improve quality of the work.

 Isiyaka Ismail Wunti reports that the Secretariat was abandoned over ten years after it was vandalized by Boko Haram insurgents.
