Governor Bala Mohammed's Economic Empowerment Programme has reached eighteen out of twenty  local government areas of the state where thousands of people benefited from various support to enable them establish small scale businesses

The programme tagged Kaura  Economic Empowerment Programme KEEP was introduced to alleviate poverty and create Job opportunities to the teaming populace in both urban and rural areas.

So far, over eight thousand people have benefited from various forms of intervention including cash grands, Animal breeds, sawing and granding machines as well as commercial motorcycles among others.

Inaugurating the programme in Warji and Ningi local government areas, Governor Bala Mohammed said his administration was determined to provide enabling environment for business activities across the state.

Bala Mohammed who assured to consolidate on the initiative considering its economic impact, added that other critical aspects of infrastructure would also be given the desired attention.

The State Commissioner of local governments and Chieftaincy Affairs Abdurrazak Nuhu Zaki and his counterpart of Coopratives, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises Hajiya Sa'adatu Bello Kirfi  acknowledged the impact of the initiative and charged the beneficiaries to used the items for the purpose they were meant for.


Also Speaking Senator Abdul Ningi and the Chairman Ningi local government area Mamuda Hassan Tabla said the gesture demonstrated the Governor's qualitative leadership style which place high premium to the welfare of citizens.

Some of the beneficiaries Nigeria, commended Governor Bala Mohammed for the effort and called on other political office holders to initiate similar initiative at the various constituencies.
