PRIMARY AND JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN BAUCHI STATE ARE CONSTRUCTION AND REHABILITATION.(#KSMF REPORTERS BAUCHI)

RE- ALBARKA RADIO PROGRAM ON THE CONSTRUCTION AND REHABILITATION OF PRIMARY AND JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN BAUCHI STATE. (#KSMF REPORTERS BAUCHI)

My attention has been drawn to a program by albarka radio(online) where they visited Dungulbi village asserting that despite Governor Bala Mohammed's numerous achievement in the basic education subsector where they quoted "Punch newspaper" which reports that hundreds of primary schools have been renovated and constructed under the present administration.

They Albarka Radio however alleged that Dungulbi village which is just few kilometres from the city center did not benefit as their primary schools remained in shambles.

To put the record straight however, Governor Bala Mohammed' in the span of just two years has renovated and constructed over one thousand primary and junior secondary schools shared across the 20 local government areas of the state.

These projects are under the UBEC SUBEB INTERVENTION projects where the Governor also cleared the bag lock of counterpart funds which the immediate past administration could not pay ranging from 2017, 2018 and 2019 as process to access the 2020 2021 intervention funds have all been concluded awaiting ubec to release the fund since Governor Bala Mohammed' has since paid the state counterpart funds in that regard.

It is surprising therefore for a radio station to embark on what I simply described as one sided information without much facts.

If Governor Bala Mohammed' can succeed in turning the fortune of (1004) primary and junior secondary schools in bauchi state in just two years, then other communities should patiently await their own share of the numerous educational intervention.

Albarka radio should therefore always verify facts before going on air so as not to mislead the public.
