Governor Bala of Bauchi State has called on Muslim Umma to emulate legacies of Sokoto Caliphate for the betterment of their communities.

Governor Bala was speaking at the reception and award presentation organized by the Bauchi state chapter of Usmanu Danfodiyo University, Sokoto Alumni Association held at Zaranda Hotel Bauchi.

He added that the role of Sokoto caliphate which ensures social justice and good governance should be emulated by all for the benefit of Nigerians.

According to him,his administration is adopting the legacies of the Caliphate which resulted the use of little resources to execute developmental projects to impact on the lives of citizens.

Bala Mohammed called on Nigerians to throw away ethnicity, hatred or bigot, saying that traditional institution should remain focused in providing good governance.

On his part, His Eminence, the Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Muhammad Sa'ad Abubakar congratulated the association in Bauchi for coming up with initiative adding that the Sokoto caliphate was established on knowledge, justice and love.
