NORTHEAST GOVERNORS FORUM MEETING AT ADAMAWA STATE
IN THE CAPITAL OF YOLA, ADAMAWA, THE NORTH-EAST GOVERNORS FORUM MEETS.
North East Governors have converged in Yola Adamawa State Capital for the continuation of the 9th Zonal Meeting of the region, which is primarily aligned with the development and growth of the region.
The chairman of the forum, Prof. Babagana Umaru Zulum, in his opening remarks affirmed the readiness of the governor's of the region in terms of providing infrastructure and other developmental strategies for the growth and development of the region.
Prof. Babagana also asked for prompt action to perpetually address the intractable security challenges bedevilling the region. He also affirmed to the federal government their support in terms of executing federal government projects across the region.
Babagana said the governors of the region will continue to prioritize the education sector, agricultural sector, health sector, security, and all other significant projects that will bring about the growth and development of the region. He further pleaded for federal government support regarding the transformation of the North East.
Rt. Hon. Ahmad Umaru Fintiri, the Governor of Adamawa State, who happens to be the chief host of the meeting, applauded the governors of the region for sustaining the meeting as well as their various efforts towards ensuring the sanity, development, and peaceful coexistence of the region.
